Sumner serves first through fourth grade students from the northwest part of Austin and we pride ourselves on maintaining a neighborhood feel to our school.

At Sumner, we focus on growing all student skills, from academic to social-emotional and everything in between.  We focus on the Zones of Regulation, helping students identify their current emotions and how to best regulate emotions.

We also are proud to be nationally recognized as a Healthy School, having received three major awards in the last few years. 

Making all students and families feel welcome is our goal at Sumner Elementary!
